MSU offers a two-year
associate degree program in respiratory care that will provide you the skills
and training to help patients achieve optimum cardiopulmonary health. Through a
consortium agreement with the Kentucky Community and Technical College System,
MSU offers a program that meets the standards of the Committee on Accreditation in
Respiratory Care. Combining general course requirements in
biology, mathematics, communication and writing with core classes in cardiopulmonary
pathology, theories of respiratory care and more along with clinical
practicums, MSU's program provides a rigorous, well-rounded education that will
prepare you for success. Career opportunities in respiratory care include
positions in the following settings:
• Hospitals
• Extended care facilities
• Home health agencies
• Physician's offices
The respiratory care
program at MSU has a selective admissions process, and application materials
must be submitted by Nov. 15 for eligibility to begin the program in the
following spring semester.
