Imaging scientists use specialized equipment to create
images that assist doctors in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of
ailments and diseases. If you’re interested in pursuing a career in medical
imaging, Morehead State offers a range of degrees that can prepare you for the
workforce.
MSU offers an associate degree in radiologic science, as
well as bachelor’s degrees in computed tomography and magnetic resonance
imaging, and diagnostic medical sonography.
We also offer an online leadership in medical imaging degree designed to
help working technologists further their education.
Through a combination of lecture courses, hands-on learning
in laboratories and clinical placement requirements, MSU’s programs will
prepare you to take national radiologic science certification exams.
Students who graduate from the program are prepared for
careers in a wide range of health care settings, including:
- Medical centers
- Outpatient medical imaging centers
- Physician’s offices
The radiologic sciences program at MSU has a selective
admissions process, and a limited number of students are accepted each year.
These requirements are in addition to Morehead State’s admission
requirements.
