MSUTeach lets STEM students explore teaching careers

If you’re looking to make a difference in the world, and you have a passion for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), the MSUTeach program will let you earn your degree while expanding your career opportunities.

Through partnerships with area school districts, students in MSUTeach’s step one course go into real classrooms and work with K-12 students. The course qualifies as service learning, and students earning a C or better in the course will receive tuition reimbursement for the one-hour course. If you decide you’d like to explore teaching further, you can sign up for Step Two, which is also a one-hour course eligible for tuition reimbursement.

Best teaching practices are integrated into the program and you will earth both a bachelor of science degree in your chosen field and teacher certification. You’ll receive guidance from MSUTeach master teachers, who are specially trained to prepare you for a career in STEM education, as well as from teachers you work with in the classroom.
