If you’re interested in a career in technology, the
engineering technology program at Morehead State has a number of options to
suit your needs.
MSU offers both bachelor’s and associate degrees in
engineering technology, and students can choose from one of four specialties:
- Design & Manufacturing Engineering Technology- students will be prepared to work effectively as a supervisor or manager in a manufacturing company and to fully understand the many aspects of the manufacturing process.
- Construction Management & Civil Engineering Technology-students learn the management, engineering, technology, and production analysis behind residential, commercial, and highway construction.
- Electronics & Computer Engineering Technology- students comprehensively study the diverse areas of electronics and telecommunications and fully understand the role of electricity in modern devices.
- Occupation-Based Career & Technical Education- students will be prepared to fill advanced technical/engineering positions in business and industries through providing applied, analytical and problem solving skills.
Graduates of these programs are
equipped with a skill set that sets them apart from the competition in an
aggressive job market. Approximately 70 percent of students are able to find
full-time employment shortly after graduation. The Department of Engineering
& Technology Management maintains a job bank which allows students to begin
their job search before graduation.
