MSU jazz studies graduates are well-rounded musically and academically

The jazz studies track within the Bachelor of Music at MSU is designed for students interested in learning how to perform, compose, arrange and teach jazz music at a professional level. The program provides students with the tools needed to build a successful career in jazz and commercial music. Students in the program may choose their major instrument including guitar, piano and saxophone.

Students in jazz studies gain hands-on experience and have opportunities to perform in both large and small jazz ensembles to hone their improvisational and sight-reading skills. Veterinary Technology program has associate and bachelor’s options

The veterinary technology program at Morehead State offers you the chance to turn your love of animals into a successful, rewarding career, providing support services to veterinarians. You can choose to earn an Associate of Applied Science degree (AAS) or a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree.
The associate degree program can be completed in three years, and the bachelor’s degree program can be completed in four years, and offers a deeper education in agricultural sciences and electives.  Both programs will prepare you to take the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE).
As a student, you will be able to use what you’ve learned in the classroom in a real-world setting at the Derrickson Agricultural Complex. There, you’ll get hands-on experience working with small animals, livestock and horses.
The programs have a selective admission process, and only accept a limited number of students each year.

Exercise Science program prepares students for wellness careers

If you want a career that will allow you to help people stay healthy or reach their peak physical performance, consider a degree in exercise science from Morehead State.

MSU's Master of Arts in English program ranked among top 10 in nation by OnlineMastersPrograms.org

MSU's Master of Arts in English program was selected ninth best in the United States and was the only school in Kentucky whose program made the list of top colleges and universities released by OnlineMastersPrograms.org.

According to OnlineMastersPrograms.org, MSU was selected for its dedication to online or hybrid education, its wide range of graduate course selections and for providing quality academic and career services to students. MSU is one of the few accredited schools in the nation to offer a master's in English online, and it is the first in the region to fully support a virtual learning environment.

A master's in English can provide opportunities for students to work in higher-level positions in post-secondary education and specialized writing opportunities in government and industry settings.

The 33-hour program offers thesis and non-thesis options and can be completed in as little as one year.
