MSU offers pre-law advising for students in every major

The American Bar Association does not recommend any specific undergraduate majors or group of courses to prepare for a legal education. Students at MSU who hope to attend law school can choose to major in a wide range of programs including history, English, philosophy, political science, economics or business. Legal studies faculty at MSU offer pre-law advising for students in any major to help them make successful applications to law school.

Our pre-law advising will provide you with information related to law school preparation, the admissions process, notifications concerning campus visits from law schools, opportunities for LSAT preparation and more. If you are already enrolled at MSU, you can access advising information by adding the ‘pre.law’ code to your academic program. To add this code, speak with your academic advisor or email Heather McGuire at h.mcguire@moreheadstate.edu.
