Star Theater offers education and entertainment

One of the crown jewels of MSU’s Space Science Center is the Star Theater, a 110-seat, state of the art planetarium and classroom. Using six projectors on a 40-foot domed screen and digital surround sound, the Star Theater offers a fully immersive viewing experience.
The Star Theater has a wide selection of educational programming, discussing everything from the stars and black holes to the origins of life on earth. The theater also offers entertainment programming such as laser light shows set to different varieties of music.  The theater hosts students of all ages from schools across the state each year through it’s K-12 show program.
Monthly MSU night shows and public shows are also held.  MSU night shows are free to MSU students, employees and their families with a valid ID.
Public shows are also available on a rotating monthly basis.

The Star Theater can also be reserved for private screenings. For more information, visit the theater’s website.
