Engineering Technology offers numerous learning options

If you’re interested in a career in technology, the engineering technology program at Morehead State has a number of options to suit your needs.
MSU offers both bachelor’s and associate degrees in engineering technology, and students can choose from one of four specialties:
  •         Design & Manufacturing Engineering Technology- students will be prepared to work effectively as a supervisor or manager in a manufacturing company and to fully understand the many aspects of the manufacturing process.
  •         Construction Management & Civil Engineering Technology-students learn the management, engineering, technology, and production analysis behind residential, commercial, and highway construction.
  •        Electronics & Computer Engineering Technology- students comprehensively study the diverse areas of electronics and telecommunications and fully understand the role of electricity in modern devices.
  •        Occupation-Based Career & Technical Education- students will be prepared to fill advanced technical/engineering positions in business and industries through providing applied, analytical and problem solving skills.

Graduates of these programs are equipped with a skill set that sets them apart from the competition in an aggressive job market. Approximately 70 percent of students are able to find full-time employment shortly after graduation. The Department of Engineering & Technology Management maintains a job bank which allows students to begin their job search before graduation.
