MSU has plenty of choices for chemistry students



If you are considering a degree in chemistry, Morehead State has a number of options to let you tailor your education to your particular interests. The following bachelor’s degrees in chemistry are available:
  • Biomedical chemistry prepares you for professional or graduate school or a career s a biomedical chemist.
  • Professional chemistry prepares you for a career in an industrial, government or academic chemistry laboratory.
  • General chemistry prepares you for an advanced education or a career in an industrial, government or academic laboratory. 
  • Environmental chemistry prepares you for a career in environmental chemistry or to attend graduate school to study environmental chemistry.
  • Chemistry education prepares you for a career as a chemistry teacher in public and private schools in Kentucky.
A minor in chemistry is also available, and complements a range of majors.

You’ll gain knowledge and hands-on skills through required laboratory-based coursework. You may also work with faculty members to conduct research, and you’ll have opportunities to present that research at regional and national conferences.
