Imaging science degrees fast track career readiness

Imaging scientists use specialized equipment to create images that assist doctors in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of ailments and diseases. If you’re interested in pursuing a career in medical imaging, Morehead State offers a range of degrees that can prepare you for the workforce.

MSU offers an associate degree in radiologic science, as well as bachelor’s degrees in computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging, and diagnostic medical sonography.  We also offer an online leadership in medical imaging degree designed to help working technologists further their education.

Through a combination of lecture courses, hands-on learning in laboratories and clinical placement requirements, MSU’s programs will prepare you to take national radiologic science certification exams.

Students who graduate from the program are prepared for careers in a wide range of health care settings, including:
  • Medical centers
  • Outpatient medical imaging centers
  • Physician’s offices

The radiologic sciences program at MSU has a selective admissions process, and a limited number of students are accepted each year. These requirements are in addition to Morehead State’s admission requirements.
