Morehead State University is home to one of the few
undergraduate creative writing programs offered across the country. The
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing provides hands-on experience through
studio-oriented creative writing workshops in poetry, fiction and creative
non-fiction. You will receive a solid
foundation of literature courses and complete courses in the humanities, the
natural and social sciences and world languages.
Graduates of our creative writing program are prepared to
seek advanced degrees and have developed a liberal arts background that may
serve as a gateway for any number of career options. Many of our graduates go
on to pursue careers in professional and technical writing, the arts and other
fields where expert writing and reading skills are essential.
