Imaging science degrees prepare students for health care careers

Morehead State’s Department of Kinesiology, Health, and Imaging Sciences offers a number of degrees in imaging sciences designed to prepare students for rewarding, in-demand careers in health care.

The associate degree program in radiologic sciences is a three-year program, and will prepare you for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists’ certification exam.

We offer bachelor’s degrees in computed tomography and magnetic resonance, and diagnostic medical sonography. Both degrees will prepare you for careers in medical centers, hospitals, doctors offices and outpatient medical imaging centers.

All of these programs involve not only traditional classroom lectures, but also hands-on learning in labs at the Center for Health, Education and Research. Students in these programs are also required to complete practicum training in real-world health care settings.

In addition, we also offer a bachelor’s degree in leadership in medical imaging. This fully online program is designed to help working professionals in imaging sciences earn their degree in a way that fits into their busy lifestyles.

Imaging sciences programs at MSU have a selective admission process, and enrollment for each program is limited. For more information about all of our imaging science programs, visit www.moreheadstate.edu/kinesiology.
