MSU's child development degree provides preparation for careers in operating private child care programs

Morehead State’s Bachelor of Arts in Child Development is a non-teaching area of concentration program for students interested in studying the stages of child development and factors that impact the development of children. The program will prepare you for careers working in and running private child care and day care programs.

You will gain knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and will prepare instruction and learning environments for children with and without disabilities. Graduates of our program are equipped to design early childhood programs, which follow state child care regulations and are able to articulate child development management strategies.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of preschool and childcare center directors is expected to grow 17 percent from 2012-2022, faster than the average for all occupations.

  2. If you seek child care services that offer the most qualified personnel, the best options would be either private or community-based centres. Such facilities are carefully regulated by the relevant authorities and must always have proper licensing.see more at: certificate iii in child care
